Persistent rain showers forced the cancellation of the Midwest TQ Racing League (MTQRL) season opener on Saturday evening May 12th at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Madison, Ind.

The MTQRL would like to thank the fans, competitors and officials for their help and patience in trying to get the opening race of the 2012 season in the books. Show points will be awarded to the twenty-one drivers and owners who were in attendance.

The next event on the MTQRL schedule will be Hoosier Auto Racing Fans (HARF) Night on Saturday May 19th at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ind. where all HARF members with a current membership card will receive 50% off general admission. Gates open at 5:00 pm, practice is at 6:00 pm, qualifications at 6:30 pm and racing is set to begin at 7:30 pm. General admission is $8 adults, $5 children (7-12) while 6 and under are free. Pit passes are $25 for all ages.

Once again the MTQRL will offer all residents of the Holton and Henryville, Ind. communities – two areas devastated by tornados on March 2nd – complimentary general admission. Present a drivers license showing your hometown for free general admission for yourself and children.
