MASTER MILLER: USAC ROOKIE IS INDIANA MIDGET WEEK’S TOP PASSER

Speedway, Indiana (June 13, 2023)………Gavin Miller sure made an impression during his first career USAC Indiana Midget Week experience.

The Allentown, Pa. native ultimately won his first career USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship feature in the penultimate round at Bloomington Speedway, becoming the initial first-time feature winner with the series this season.

Furthermore, from start to finish, Miller led the USAC Indiana Midget Week Passing Master standings.* Never was he challenged, never was headed in the passing cars department.

In all, the 16-year-old driver and six-time USAC National .25 Midget champion, passed a total of 35 cars throughout the week to earn the title.* Passing points were accumulated through all heat races, semi-features and feature events throughout the week.

Miller finished 12th in the final USAC Indiana Midget Week standings, making six starts in six appearances with results of 10th after starting 21st at Tri-State Speedway.* He was scored 23rd at Circle City Raceway after leading the initial 12 laps before tagging the turn one wall and flipping while running at the front of the field.

He followed up with his second hard charger performance of the week, a 19th to 10th advancement at Gas City I-69 Speedway, a 9th at Lincoln Park Speedway, a victory at Bloomington and a 14th in the finale at Lawrenceburg Speedway.
