Hated to hear he was retiring. He was my favorite since I was a kid. I know most people disliked him but it wasn't a popularity contest . SAMMY is , was and will always be a racer.
Greatest SAMMY memory .... Him standing on the side of the wing of a trashed race car bowing to about 25,000 screaming fans on hot august night in Iowa. Thanks SAMMY ,enjoy ur retirement |
