I think pretty much everything on a late model is more expensive. That's why LM racing in IN and IL has been declining for many years. Many stock car people have switched to sprints for that reason.

My advice. Don't be afraid to see some regular shows as well. They give you a better appreciation of the Indiana scene than big events to me. Budget wise they are a great deal too for a traveller.

I was at the Dream and the World in 97 and 98 and they had over 220 cars each time. It's sure dropped from that nowadays.

You guys are all talking about Special Events. I took the original post to mean running regular weekly shows. I can remember some October shows as well but they were pretty rare.

15 years ago EVERYBODY closed after August. Only seems like the last few years that tracks have been adding dates into Sept and Oct.
