There were 10 Dirtcar Pro Sprints which is pretty good for a brand new division. Joe Gaerte helped 4 teams get to the track and Scott Benic 2.3or4 more in the works so things look good.

To use a 602 in a sprint car you need more than just having the cam drilled. Because the 602 is externally balanced you need a combo balancer/drive hub and a different yoke. Pace Performance in Ohio...

Originally Wilmot was going to run the 602 engine non winged but changed to the 604 with only a chassis dyno hp rating to control engines.

Plymouth Speedway on tv

Speedsport and MavTV will cover a midweek event at Plymouth.
Featured will be non winged sprints, DIRTcar Pro Sprints and Modifieds.
New seats and lots of new improvements.

Pace Performance in Boardman Ohio now has developed both a 602 and 525 sprint engines. Might want to consider something like that. The new Dirtcar Pro Sprints will use the triple sealed 602 engine.

You could consider the new Dirtcar Pro Sprint that is starting at Plymouth Speedway next year. It will be a true entry level car that is affordable and tightly controlled.

GM 525 sprint engine debuts at Knoxville

Qualified second. Started 10th in heat finished 4th in non stop race.
Started 25th and finished 5th in 305 feature.

That hasn't been a problem in our tests at Plymouth, Mercer, PA. or at Oshweken were they are finishing their second year with this car. A lot has to do with gearing to be able to use the high torque...

We have been testing with the wing as that is the way they will run weekly at Plymouth next year.
The rules allow either and there may be some Non winged events as the car count grows.
