I agree somewhat with what you are saying. However, I have seen numerous times that a race on TV is all about the leaders and the lead pack and nothing is mentioned about anyone else. Then "suddenly" a car starts to challenge and the commentators have no clue as to how they "raced" their way to the front.
Sitting in the stands watching battles throughout the pack beats the hell out of TV racing any day of the week. I find it increasingly difficult to watch "big time" racing on TV. Way too many commercials, commentators who love to hear themselves talk and producers and directors with little if any racing background. I suppose that I was spoiled with Thursday night Thunder on ESPN. Gone but not forgotten.
