Seems a few months ago that people around here were worried, concerned and afraid that Terre Haute Action Track would no longer be around. Now that three fine gentlemen have stepped up and saved the track, instead of being appreciative, some around here are cryin', bitchin', and moanin' about some of the proceedings.

It was the first race of a new regime. Cut them some slack dudes. Not many people get it perfect the first time they try something, right?

One of the many things that we plan on doing is to redo the entire pit area inside the track. This is in the planning stages. If I have my way the concrete will be gone because it doesn't match the elevation to the track the infeild or the rest of the pit area. We know that we have to upgrade this area but we need to get a little ahead of the game first.

Push Trucks response was correct, we do plan on pitting inside from now on. I am still amazed with the response from the fans and also some of the teams.

Kudo's to Joe and the push truck crew! I had a visit with Hockett and his car owner after the race. They loved everything about the track and was really impressed with the push truck team. Oh.. the only complaint was that there were not enough trash cans in the pit area.....I took that as a compliment!

And to Kenny... Thanks for the reply! I know it's extra work for the teams but from your comments, it sounds like you at least can see what we are trying to accomplish. Your opinion and support is important to us!

We have done a lot of work and still have a long way to go with improvrments. I can't wait to see it this time next year. Without the help and support from all of you this project would not be as rewarding as what it is.

One more thing and I will shut up... To Tim Wolfe.... I would have been a ZERO Sunday if it wasn't for the your help..Thanks for your helo as well as your training.

I know I am echoing comments from previous posts, but lost in all the complaints is the fact that there was a RACE at the action track!! Last year and all winter I would drive past the track and get ticked off and bummed about what had happened to the track. Sunday was awesome. Pulling into the parking lot to the sound of sprint cars engines, and the smell of burnt methanol (sp?) had my adrenaline going. Emerging from the tunnel to the infield having cars blasting past us into turn 1 sent a chill up my back. Was the track perfect? No, but I have been to plenty of night races that had worse dust than Sunday's daytime race. To the promotors and track employees, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for a great day of racing. I arrived at the track happy to be there, and left it satisfied and much happier after watching the great ending to the feature. :thumb

I'm from T.H. and I do it because I love the sport-sorry if you don't approve! Have you been to the track because I've been presenting there the past 4 years! Maybe if I wore less you'd approve-but I have a little thing called RESPECT FOR MYSELF and my title as MS. Indiana DGUSA. Don't worry I'm moving to FL this weekend -that was my last race there-thanks for making it so special for me!!
I do want to thank DHK Promotions for keeping the track up and running and doing so much for all the race fans around T.H.
