I agree with that!!!!!!!!!! I stopped working for a little while and watch parts of the 400 because it is at the holy ground of racing.... It was the first NAPcar race I have watched sence daytona 500. The only good thing I found about it was the the INDY CARS had great promotion coverage talking about roger and chip. AND as far as sprint cars on pavement the best show is at the SALEM SPEEDWay and WINCHESTER. There is nothing better on pavement anywhere... Just my opinion.

Apparently about 40,000 people that went last year did exactly that. With the effect the economy is having on attendance at many race tracks, if you're a promotor or race director that is a bad attitude to have.

I have been to the Brickyard twice. Once in 2005 and a couple years ago. One of the reasons I couldn't enjoy it as much as I did the first time was the heat. They used to have the race in August and pushed it back a few years ago and made the heat and humidity worse (I think). Another reason I don't like the race as much anymore is the teams. When I liked Nascar, there was single car teams and drivers. Now, if you don't have at least two cars, forget it. I liked watching Awesome Bill from Dawsonville, Rusty Wallace, D. Waltrip running. Other then the big names like Gordon and Stewart, I couldn't name more then five drivers. The only, and I mean only, Napcar race I want to see now is Bristol at night. You can see the whole track from your seat and the action is happening more then following the leader at IMS. The one memory that comes to mind from NASCAR is a few years ago at Bristol at night, is two drivers were battling for the lead and coming down to the final lap. One driver (I think Dale Sr.) tapped the lead T. Labonte. and bumps him around, but the leader still crossed the finish line, but sideways.

Or you could STAY THE HELL OFF IOW if you don't like what you are reading.

When I met my wife in college and I went to her house to meet her parents and they found out I was racing cars, her mother was like what is that.......then 15 years later we are there for Chirstmas and a TV commercial comes on with JEFF G. and out of the clear blue my mother in law said," oh look Jeff is on tv....??? *** I thought........I call it the greatest marketing plan of all times...........they did a great job.........the racing still sucks. HAs a good plo......lol
