It appears there was a bigger crowd at Gas City for Sprintweek than there was at the Speedway today...

The Speedway only half full is still probably at least 130,000 people. I bet that is still one of NASCAR's larger crowds.

I have an idea!! Add lights, make it a night race, cover the track in clay and run sprints!! Make all Nascar driver race in it with the sprint car drivers from indiana....i'd go to see that!!
I thought it was going to be a good race when they started racing in the grass in the corners, i was hoping they would be in the dirt halfway through the race, just did'nt happen
Have a great week everyone.

Me and my family had a great time with plenty of cold beer on hand. I personally just love going to this race track and have been to almost every race held there for the last 25 years no matter what was racing. The place gives me chills everytime I go. If you don't want to go then I have some advice for you "STAY HOME AND SHUT THE HELL UP!" Now that I said that I'll be back home in the dirt next week. Later

I did exactly what you said after attending for 10 years. Glad you and your family had fun as I also had fun sitting at home in the A/C watching it on TV and saved several hundreds dollars.

Funny, I didn't have fun watching it on TV either. Napcar can't hold my attention anymore with its give back laps, little passing and commercials out the wazzoo.

Was starting to get back into Indy Car but couldn't watch it and then seeing replays of what had to be the dumbest call in history.
