It's a bit bias as another guy stated. Most people on Indiana Open Wheel like Sprint Cars and if you go on 4m most people will choose Late Models. But I thought the bigger topic would be the other classes that would race there as well.

The crate sprint car is a good idea, but as any new idea it will cost everyone at the start. I do not believe that one track running weekly would be a strong selling point. Plymouth has always been a stock car and special track. Naturally an open wheel board would produce the results that we have seen so far. I would guess many of the local posters are the old Warsaw and Avilla people.
I am not sure the present promotion team wants a steady weekly some car shows, but would prefer more of a special foremat.

After a quick chat with someone I gather they are looking at maybe racing weekly on saturdays would be the best option. If Hartford closes it would be best to race on Friday's. Shadyhill is running off cars / drivers left & right. By racing Friday you could gain cars from Hartford, Montpelier, & Shadyhill. Hope guys come out and support the Saturday, August 4th show with Michigan Traditional Sprints (M.T.S.) 410 Non-Wing Sprints, UMP Modifieds, 600 Micro Sprints, & 4 Cylinder Hornets.

Was there last night and heard John Gurley and them talking about that same thing. Also they are going to move the dirt out on the front stretch. I think It would be a great Saturday night track. Just move the dirt out a little on the asphalt. And with new owner MR Kennedy I know it would be successful, just look at his waterparks in Daytona and Andretti's indoor kart in Atlanta. Maybe you get a tri track series going Gas City, Plymouth and Kokomo. I see they have Pastrana coming in on Oct 6&7 should be a big show!!

If Hartford closes best bet would be to race on Friday's. You would gain cars from Hartford, Montpelier, & Shadyhill. By doing that those 2 tracks could try and work together and maybe have some kind of Challenge 1 a month and the guys with the most points from those challenge nights wins. Sort of a championship with in a championship.

Not sure about Fridays. People say they can't make it there after work now. Look at Speedway Directory most of the tracks are Saturday night. That is the night people go out for entertainment.

Let's hope that Hartford doesn't close. That track is great and is needed for its unique size. Friday is a tempting night but racechaser is right, we constantly hear how tough it is for driver's to get there on time.
When I raced dirt Fri and Sat nights, the Fri tracks always had lower car counts and less fans in the stands.

It was announced last night that the track will likely be running Saturday nights next season, whether that is dirt or asphalt or combo of both again is still undecided.
Whatever the decision, it will be interesting nonetheless.

We are still hoping the last few dirt shows, including the upcoming 410 nonwing UMP Mod 600 wingless minis and Hornet August 4th show, will influence a decision either way!

Come support the track as a driver or a fan or both!

After thinking about it; if Plymouth does go DIRT it would be cool to see Plymouth on the USAC Indiana Sprint Week calender.

If people really want a dirt track back in northern Indiana like the old Warsaw days. We all need to show the support for the Aug 4th dirt race to show Mr Kennedy ( who is an asphalt guy) That Plymouth would be a good dirt track.
