Are you kidding me? I have respect for the MSCS, but they are on no way the level of USAC. The tracks put up the purse money, the MSCS just brings cars. Look at last years MSCS standings and see how the guys who hit every race did when they were against USAC? None of the front runners last week were MSCS regulars. MSCS is a great group who provide a great part in a regional area, but in no way do they rival USAC.

I don't say it's a replacement or even better. It is bigger car counts and bigger purses with for the most part more racing per show.

Im no longer calling for a complete USAC revamp but a dumping of the NCQ adding a couple cars to existing heats when it's up to 8 cars over 32 and the addition of another heat if it's 9-20 cars over isn't asking for much and everybody gets paid something.

Chuck, who also seen Dustin morgan dust the field from the tail in a heat at Burg last fall and seen Ballou win from about a sixth or seventh starting spot. The florence MSCS race was not for a big purse but still had awesome racing.

Then why at the first race at Terre Haute first of may this year all drivers but the stewart cars and kahne cars plus Hoffman and Kunz cars were there.As for looking at the point standings from last year all you had to do was go to all of the usac dates and you could be in the top ten points, the midget deal is even more of a joke how many teams went to all of the races in 2008.So if they want to call it a national championship for the usac guys used to mean something about 35 years ago now it is very watered down version more lip service than reality these days.

Let's see where everybody is this Friday PA or Jacksonville. I notice you don't say your name or where your from. Probably another internet racefan. I have nothing against the MSCS, but they are what they are. A good series that brings non wing racing to places that do not always see it. Terre Haute probably saw USAC guys tuning up for the Hulman Classic. In fact the top 2 were USAC guys not MSCS guys. I'll bet you any amount of money they will not be a Jacksonville. Just so you know I hope Jacksonville has great show,good car and crowd turnout.

I am in central IL. we have no track in this area that can hold a candle to Tri-State been going there for over twenty years now nothing else is close to this place.Been going to Terre Haute for fifteen years and made it to Kokomo and Kamp last year and waiting to visit Lawrenceburg this year.Last year I noticed a lot of the teams starting to run the mscs races is all, I just think if usac is so much better than why do they have so long between the dirt shows after speedweeks there is nothing until four crown and you can not count Joliet that place is a wizz poor excuse for a racetrack plus the rip off pricing wonder if they have learned anything yet could be a good place if they would do some checking out of the above mentioned places.Little Springfield is where I first started to watch sprints and since Joe passed away in 1987 this state has not even come close to having a place or quality of shows he used to run there.It is to the race fans benefit to be able to watch these guys run what ever place they like to go and race.

Im just curious on what makes a driver a USAC driver or an MSCS Driver?? Secondly why does it matter?? There are alot of teams that just want to race and could care less what sanctioning body is there at the track on any given night. Look at a guy like Brady Short- would he be considered a USAC guy because he's in their top 10 in points? Would he be considered an MSCS guy because he's in their top 10 in points as well? Or is he considered a local guy because he has won 4 features at local tracks here in Indiana? He is a true racer doing what he loves to do and I am very thankful that we have race teams like the 36 Team that show their support to as many tracks and series as they can and I know Brady has made alot fans along the way.

My point is why can't we all just be thankful for all of the great race teams that support the local tracks and both USAC and MSCS. As traditional sprint car fans we all have it pretty well here in Indiana. With all of the great racing action we have seen so far this year why can't we just go to a race-make new friends and have a great time cheering on the guys/gals that brought you to the track in the first place. Heck go down to the pits afterwords and shake their hands and thank them for what they do.

Jason as I said earlier, I think alot of your organization. There are 2 things I really like. The influx of new talent that you help create, and the new fans you expose to non wing racing. What I was responding to was his statement that you guys have replaced USAC as the top series. I don't think anyone from your series would claim that. Keep up the good work, and I will continue to attend your shows, and enjoy them.
As for the comment above about the lack of dirt races after sprintweek, I would say that is because of the number of midget races on the schedule, including Indiana Midget Week.
