Lets not forget about Brad Sweet, a young left coaster who pulled his family ride from Cali to Indy in 05 and ran 50 somthing races on just his winnings! He has curtanly turned some heads, got some pretty decent rides and now in the Kasey Kahne stable should provide all you hoosers with some good racing next year!

Cole Whitt and John Memmer are two other drivers that stepped up their game, in 2007. The list goes on.

Seems my shameless plug for Kyle Robbins has taken this thread beyond QT82's intent to recognize "up and coming drivers" from the west coast and now includes young drivers from all over. All the better IMHO and that being the case I would add 'Burg champ Joss Moffatt, Brett Burdette, and I'm particularly high on the talents of Brett Beauchamp. As friend Jerry said all these names insure that sprint car racing will be "an exciting sport to watch for years to come."

Dwight's post about mentioning he forgot how young Robert Balou really is started me to thinking--Names like Brady Bacon(18or19),Daren Hagen(20) and even an "old veteran "Levi Jones(25), there are so many young talented driver today that we as race fans are starting to look at guys 19 or older as "middle aged"! In a perfect world we could take todays young openwheel guys down south and 4-5 of the drivers in the chase would be hard pressed to crack the top 25 spots against these kids.

HEy HEY HEY, how about James Robinson. Great young man, great family, a handsome kid, drives like a 20yr vet. Wins races, seldom bends anything, and has a knack for missing crashes which all the great ones do. Add to that the fact he is a pavement guy(at this point), another that could win his 1st year at higher level!

there are a lot of very talented drivers out there...the ones mentioned above and many others of all ages......what i believe we are short of are crew chiefs who are talented enuff to hit the right set up each and every time they take the green flag........some get very good at home tracks but to find someone that can adapt to every track and every situation is ...........close to invisible.....find these type of men and you can make almost any very good driver into a great driver....... don short:checkered

These come to mind real quick. Josh Spencer Came thru 1/4s and 600s Stephanie Mockler did the same still comes back to the 600s when not running for East, Chris Windom 2 years out of the 600s, Gary Altig set the world on fire at the Chili Bowl right out of 600s Dustin Morgan and Brady Bacon out of the Oklahoma 600s:respect::respect:
