I like it.

if the owner/promoter of the Chili Bowl wants to do it, knowing that it will likely attract a wider range of cars and drivers for this set of races, precisely by tying it to the Chili Bowl (though not the Saturday A-main), i'm all for it.

i'm sure they realize that the winners of these races are likely to come from a group of guys that are also likely to qualify for the A-main or the B-main on their prelim nights. though nothing is guaranteed, of course.

more midget racing, and more attention to midget racing, and more races for Bryan Clauson to put on his schedule this year is good by me!

but, with what is surely a small group of people in an uproar (and therefore being louder than everyone else about it), perhaps the better course of action is to take the 4 races (it ended up being 4, right?) and either lock them in to the Tuesday night race of Champions and eligible for the revenge draw so that their starting position is random (which then gives them a shot at earning a provisional to the Saturday A-main), or lock them into the A-main of their choice on a prelim night, but tagged on to the back of the field.

I think what ticked people off was that someone was Guaranteed one race out from the A main of the Chili Bowl, For something totally un-connected to to the Chili Bowl. Where as all other entry's might have to race up to 15 total races to even make the B main at the Chili Bowl.

I wouldn't be against four races somewhere "Plymouth" or whatever who's winners got guaranteed tail of the A mains for QUALIFYING nights "Must participate in whole qualifying night" with the points toward Saturday starting equivalent to the first non qualifier for the A on qualifying night. No Matter where that "Plymouth Winner" finished on Qualifying night in the A, They'd still be 1.5 points less toward Saturdays lineups than the position they finished.

Im just a keyboard jockey, But I'd like it to work out for Plymouth an commend the idea. But the racer should earn his way into his starting spot saturday, not be guaranteed skipping up to 15 races to make the Bs.at Chili Bowl.

Just my 2 cents, but what if Plymouth put up a four race "series", and the points winner from that got locked into the RoC at Tulsa?
