Quarter mile....about the size of Neveda. When it was a cart track it had some steep banking. They cut the banking down a bit. I hear midget races there quite a bit too. Seen pics on FB but not in person yet.

The Info i recieved when inquiring was US 50 would be a 1/4 mile with about 12 degree banking and a wall and fence all the way around. if properly prepped that should make it one of the top tracks in the area.

I've not been to US 50, CWS9 is in the know as he's from around that area. Everyone I have spoke with is optimistic about US 50, I'm thinking MOWA winged cars are going to Belleville Illinois, surely non winged sprints will be fine at US 50

hmmm, 360s, 305s & 410s.... do you think they will be competitive with USAC cars? What kind of car counts could be expected with co-sanction? Those Nebraska/KC dates are within striking distance for me

We have ran with WAR from the start. We run a good smooth running 360 and have won several features and the inaugural championship. We have lost to 305's and 410's depends on the night and track. We ran with USAC the 1st year and it was a great learning experience. The WAR guys were competitive to a point. They will have a few that run the co-sanctioned shows but my guess is not more than 5 or 6 until the 3 rd night at lakeside.
The WAR group is great to race with!

The WAR group and non wing sprints in general are growing quickly in this area. Casey Shuman has run with them quite a bit and JJ Yeley made a quick trip across town after qualifying at Kansas Speedway to race with them as well. Several former USAC guys now running with ASCS pull out a non wing car when they run at the same track as well. Along with WAR are a few tracks running open shows and they seem to be working together more and more to grow this type of racing.

While the group here may not be on par with USAC yet they are getting better, faster, and bigger every year, remember there was only winged cars anywhere close to here for many many years up until only a couple of years ago. They have done a great job in bringing traditional sprints back.

I am sure there will be several cars from the Nebraska area to run with the WAR and USAC guys up there and last time USAC ran at Valley here in the KC area i believe there were 38 cars and the number of local cars have grown since then although there is no guarentee how many will run the Nebraska or even Lakeside.

All and all I am just happy we have WAR, and the local tracks supporting non winged racing and thrilled to have USAC making returns to our area. Now to just get the Ron Shuman Classic going again.

I ran 3 shows with them last Oct, along with Kent Christian, Casey Shuman, Aric Gentry, and Buddy Lowther, great tracks, great organization. We had a lot of fun. They qualify too. 😊
