I feel like this is a great move. I think POWRi, BMARA, & Angell Park will all benefit from the new promotion. I believe this could be the start of USAC getting pushed out. I would venture to say that they wont have any races at Angell with their sanction next year.

First off, I love Angell Park. I hope that they race midgets there on Sunday night's till the end of time. I only spent one year in Southern Wisconsin, but this is where my love for midgets blossomed. However, I am way suspect of the entire deal. Does everybody remember how the message boards blew up when the track and Badger got into a pissing match several years ago? Does everybody remember how Badger did everything it could to hurt Angell Park? Does everyone remember the low car counts at Angell Park and at the Badger shows for this time? Does everbody remember when Wilke stepped into the promoter role at Angell Park that it was seen as the savior for both Badger and Angell Park? What will POWRi be able to offer other that the previous group could not? It is well known that POWRi struggles outside the shadow of the Arches, are they going to co-sanction every Sunday night race? Doesn't this conflict with the "working mans" midget club? Are they going to quit thier other Sunday shows? (US36 money week show)

Seems to be more questions than answers.

I wonder if the TV cameras will tape any of the races from APS?

Having heard Kenny Brown state at the Chili Bowl back when POWRi was named Gateway that one of their goals was to bury the USAC midgets, I would think your prediction may have a solid footing. Yes, before anyone asks, I did hear that myself.

Don't know if he drinks, Steve, but did he appear to be sober at the time?

Darn Russ, you werent supposed to let the cat out of the bag just yet. There's been to much POWRi news this week that some people are having to take additional medication for this abundance of interesting news.

I hear sleeping pills have been a big seller in my neck of the woods!

I wonder if Lucas Oil will become a sponsor of the Badger Midget club.

In a way yes, because I can see Badger becoming more of a POWRi region series, running northern tracks (yeah yeah yeah, I know - Wisconsin isn't far for most POWRi teams).

Lucas Oil should build a 1/4 mile (or smaller!) around this area! ...we need some dirt tracks like that up this way...
