There could be racing seven days a week and 365 days a year and somebody will still run the same day as somebody else, with all the sanctioning bodies and all the races. Stuff happens. Choose what you like and go for it.

True, but I think we can all agree that running non-wing $10K to win shows against each other can probably be avoided. There aren't that many of them.

Which one of the 2 shows are you going to???

How many miles apart are these 2 shows??

Which 10K race has been running the last 6 or so years on this date??

I'll be going to Lawrenceburg, if either.

About 593 miles, according to Google Maps.

The Shuman.

Not sure what you're trying to get at with your smartass post, bud. Care to enlighten me?

I'd say for sure now that the MSCS race at Danville will be canceled

Genuine question,to bad you think its smartass. I inquired,as you dont seem to venture far from Kokomo, and it sounds doubtful that you are really going to go to Lawrenceburg for their 10K race in a couple weeks.

Is there not enough sprintcars to run 2 10k races in one night roughly 600 miles apart??

I hope that Lawrenceburg and Lakeside make out well with their respective races. I would think that with Lawrenceburg now being a non points race that Dave Rudisell is a gambling man for sure.

Personally I contend that it will help both shows car count wise.
Face it, The $$ shows haven't been drawing stellar fields but the big names are there. THATS WHY they don't draw.

Evidenced by. Sheldon Kinser Memorial.

So what happens when a Not top funded wins one or both of these races? I for one say, GO FOR IT!

Why does it matter, in the scheme of this thread, where I am going and/or what my traveling habits are? I must not be entitled to an opinion, seeing as how I usually only get to Kokomo and Gas City. I lived it and breathed it three nights a week for 13 years; once or twice a week is enough for me at the moment, especially considering some of the changes that have taken place in the sprint car landscape. Hope that's ok with you and your ******** buddies.

There are plenty of sprint cars to run two big shows, sure. Plenty of quality ones, even. But don't race fans want to see just as many of the big names and good rides as they can for a show like this, as opposed to losing some to the other race? That's not even a question, it's a statement of fact.

I wasn't bashing USAC, the 'Burg, Lakeside, the TNT tour or the Shuman race. Just making an observation that there aren't too many big money shows for the non-wing boys and it's a shame that these two are going to clash.

The end.
