I am not sure when Ballou made the comments about Drake, but we seem to see this every couple years where one of the older drivers has to claim that a younger driver is too wild. I don't even know what his particular beef was, was he upset that Drake didn't pull over and let him lap him? If that is the issue I can't really sympathize with him, until you are a lap down you should be trying to go forward in my book. I seen Bacon mad at a lapper at L-burg as well because he couldn't get by him.

These kids coming up from midgets are on kill at all times, and it will take some time for them to adjust to sprint cars but I don't feel like he is destined to fail, on the contrary. I'll name two older drivers who are on kill all the time and that's Kyle Cummins and Justin Grant, say what you will but there is a reason they have far and away more wins than anyone else this year.

All I'm saying is that we need these young kids to come in and juice up the sport, and it seems like every couple years someone has to get upset about it and call them names. I'm sure if Daison Pursley would have ran the full schedule he would have more than a few feathers ruffled by now because that cat is on the hammer full time, in a couple year the only thing people will remember about Drakes wild period is that he is one more name on the list of driver's that Ballou has had issues with.

Good thing you have a disclaimer about not knowing what was going on. Kokomo ISW was the icing on the cake. He is frustrated from multiple incidents with this kid. If you want to know go ask Robert.

In Drakes defense. The white flag and no the leaders are approaching, hold your lane flag. So he might not have known it was the leaders coming on him.

That said Drake comes off of two right in the middle of the track with Robert on his tail. He had to get off or hit the brakes not to get into him. Going into three. Roberts gonna protect from a slider but Drake drops in front of him.

Danner said himself. I'd may have caught him but wouldn't have passed him. But he ripped the lip and won>

Roberts not lyin and Drake doesn't have 15 years of top level racing under his belt He does have good speed at times and could win at anytime at many tracks. As for previous incidents, IDK just not something I've paid attention to.

Robert also mad at himself for not winning a race he had in the bag. He made the right move. Protect the slide. It would win ya 85% of most races and 98% on a slick track. But if Kokomo has a runable lip around 3/4 Watch out, Thats the DD and now Danner Line.

Watching the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned North / South 100

Ben Shelton and James Essex got to talking about Ballou and his recent comments.

It got me thinking and made me laugh . Someone should put Ballou in a Super Late Model for a few races. See how much he has to say after a few races. See what he has to say about the sliders they throw along with the track prep and some tracks and cushion and slick verses other tracks with dusty dry slick and rubbered up.
