Here's why it could only have very limited success, here in Indiana. During the season, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night already have too many attractive choices on the racing menu. And with some things that are happening this year, that's only going to increase. While it makes sense in theory, there's just not room for it, here. Almost every night, it would have to compete with a top level grown-up race.

I beleive a 305 class would be a huge success, wing or non-wing, this class is growing all around the country, It is appealing to the young, aspiring driver and older enthusists who can't or don't want to spend the money to attempt to compete with established teams in the more expensive divisions.
Every new car will bring some new fans to the track, either ,to the stands or the pits, some will remain fans forever, some of the drivers will leave for various reasons, But, they will have had an opportunity to participate in a very popular sport here in the midwest, I hope some track ( or tracks ) will give this class a chance to develop as a support division, as previously stated, they will pay for themselves.

I agree with Areo on this one. It would just dilute what we have. Look at Fremont they get 21 410's and 50 305's. Instead maybe we should try "sensible " cost control for what we've got.

Lets see if I understand this right, the 600's are Boaring! Well ya gotta admit, almost anything we watch after a 410 Sprint generally does seem slow. About the only time I can say they would be boaring would be if the track is just to big, same goes for some other classes. I've watched these cars down at Linton Indiana put on a Heck of a show... Don't get me wrong but I just can't get my head around why you would think that 50 305's at Fremont is keeping the 410 count down. To me it just proves how much disparity there is in cost. It sounds like if they could afford a 410 at all, they would stand a better chance at making a feature. Its also a sure bet that the 305's are helping Pay the way for those "grown Up cars". Hey guys, its all racing and I have been there when they tried to run the Limited Late Models with the Super Lates. You could here a lot of Fans grown but still they have them back week after week because that class helped pay the Bills.... For Every Race Track in the Midwest that is doing well. Nearly everyone will tell you they are hurting in one area or other and All of them are looking for New Fans. Jerry has a good point when he says that it might have limited success here because central Indiana is simply where the Best of The Best come year after year to prove themselves. Getting a Race at Bloomington Indiana would be hard to do. Hard, not impossible. Look at the Indiana Street Stocks, forever a Support Class at Bloomington. Competitive as they come and they have a good Fan Base and Support but Still the car count has dropped over the last 3 years. This year they will move the class into UMP with the hope that it will improve the count and maybe the bottom line. Remember, Bloomington only has a limited window for time, so they problably will never, add a class. 3 classes gennerlly net them between say 80 to 110 cars. That insures a Full Field of Cars for the Feature. They don;t have the time or the room for another class. However, if the Street Stock or even the Modified Class does not improve, I'm sure a move toward a class such as this might work, " as Long as the car count is there and the class can run at a Profit".....Note please that I'm just using Bloomington as a hypothetical, Mike Miles Speaks for Bloomington Indiana, Not Me......Now look at a track like Charleston Ill or even Danville... If they could add a Sprint Class, especially a class like the 305's, they have something New to Show the Fans and a class that will most likely make a Profit right out of the gate...... Like I said, its all food for thought, and right now, its just that. All input, for and against is Good... hey, aint nothen easy....if ya.......wanna race.....

Honestly, if the number of sprint cars in Indiana are going up, how can it be getting more difficult to field one?
Just what would be the point of this other division? Don't you think it would hurt that solid number of sprint cars in Indiana? Do you think it would really benefit the full sprint cars in the end?
