WE USED TO GO AFTER THE USAC SPRINT RACE AND CLOSE IT AT DAY BREAK! THE SUN. AFTERNOON WE WOULD GO TO DONNIE HARRELLS PLACE AND PLAY SOFTBALL AND DRINK BEER!!!!!!!!!!:applaud:

Happy B-day Rollie,

I remember watching you run at Toledo Speedway, against your brother Al, Kenny Nemire, and my uncle Norb Trautman, and many others... I also went to the Little 500 the year you won with my Uncle Norb, what year was that? Talked to you an the radio when you and Al had a race radio show in Toledo, Great Memories...

I wish I'd have seen this post a long time ago! I only knew Rollie because of my uncle Herb Drown. He was part of the Drown Butler team who ran the 52 Special with Rollie's brother Al as driver. The brothers put a lot of excitement in our family!! Rollie even brought my Uncle to my Mom and Dad's house the night of the Palm Sunday tornado!! God bless you Rollie!!

True gentleman indeed and one helluva sprint car racer. He was the epitome of what an official should be and how they should act and an unheralded ambassodor of our sport.
