Anderson's scoreboard keeps track of the top 5. Also, they don't close the infield pits until 2:00, so if you get there early you not only get parking a lot closer to the grandstand but you can go see the cars.

Four of us coming out from Philadelphia-Reading PA area for the 500 but also hitting dirt tracks as well. Wednesday USAC Sprint cars at Terre Haute, IN, Thursday USAC Silver Crown at Indy State Fairgrounds, Friday local sprints at Bloomington, Saturday local sprints at Putnamville, Sunday the 500 during the day, Kokomo sprints at night, drive back on Monday. Everything but Putnamville locked in stone, we have done the Little 500 several times and the night before the 500 midgets at IRP, but that race has gone to heck. Any suggestions for Saturday night?

The 'Night Before the 500' is now 'The Day Before the 500'. I don't know if they are going to start as early this year, but last year I was able to watch every race at IRP, head out, get lost, stop at O'Charley's, stop for gas and personal needs, pinch a tint, hang out by the tent and drink water for 20 minutes, and get my tickets and still had about 40 minutes time to walk around and keep my set warm before they fired up at the Little 500.
I hope IRP doesn't push the start times back every much as I'd love to be able to do this again. |

"just my opinion, but I would make The Little 500 a must."
if I make it back there, i want to see this race. Any suggestions for Friday Night May 27, after carb day. Or will carb day/party wear this old man out. As I get older, need to build in some rest. I now find quality more important than quantity in life, but I'm a slow learner. Any suggestions where to stay if i come in May 26 and leave may 3 or possible may 6th. agenda would be carb day, little 500, double for bryan and midget week (as many as I could attend) better to stay at one place or move around for closer location to track cheers
