They would change the rules 36 times a year (seems like they do anyway) if that meant every race came down to winning by nose. I don’t get that. That is not racing. Not every race is going to be a classic. They seem to think you have to force that because they know they can’t generate that type of racing without rules changes every other day.

My favorite thing this week has been from the TV talking heads, “that racing Saturday night was great”. Really? Watching two cars basically become a stretch limo is racing? Racing is NOT needing a partner to go fast. They don’t seem to get that. Could you image Stanbrough getting out of the car and saying, “I just couldn’t get anybody to work with me and push, car was fast but I needed help, you can’t pass by yourself”. What a joke.

It's well know in the past many things got over looked. Today is different and a plate is all they can give him.
Just make too much sense for JR to win Daytona this year. Only a crash or mistake will keep it away from him. NASCAR needs him to win this one.

Maybe someday Jimmy will get his car ready to race then call JR to it and peel off the Lowes decal for a JR car and send him off to race.
Perfect example of too much money and too many other things going on off the track for JR.
Remember when Jeff could drive a stock car? Now if it isn't perfect he doesn't drive it. The you got Stewart who still can drive a car perfect or not.

Nascar sucks but the start of the year in fun to watch. Once our season opens it becomes a great nap on Sundays between the first pit stops and 20 to go.

DOn't forget the Vogler Daytona 500 deal at t he Speedway on SUnday. A great time watching the race with open wheel and tin fans plus some great items you might pick up.

Which is why I love wingless Sprints. No drafting, go fast or go home. I want to see some of the NASCRAP drivers who have never driven a sprint on dirt try it. Then we would see how good a driver actually is.

It crack's me up that everyone claim's to hate NASCAR and "cannot watch that crap" but still have an opinion on something they"never saw"...lol Most people talk **** on J.R. for not running good and when he does do something "good" the same people still talk ****...

I don't agree that the fix is in..Jr has run well before at Daytona..it's his best track...Why wouldn't they fix a few more for him the last three years?...Seems to me they are not scripting anything with Jimmy winning 5.

I am no fan either..but man..JR has to have thick skin to answer all the BS questions like " how does it feel now that your daddy has been dead 10 years?"....
