Darland and Rader started on the front row. Shane Cottle and Kody Swanson started in the fifth row. About lap six or seven Cottle was up to about fifth. Dallas Hewitt was in second or third and setting his sights on Darland who'd pulled to a straight lead. Well Hewitt spun in two and collected Cottle Immediately and Swanson in the mele of it all slid in to a stop against em... All were able to restart. Swanson changed a tire, but from the tail it seemed DD was without major challenges for the rest of the race. Rader on the restart fell back as far as fourth or fifth. And Westfall was up to second about mid race. Rader went to the top. DD got mired in traffic and everytime he went low Radar was just eating track between em. On the last lap going down the backstretch, Radar pulled even with DD on the high side. Both came out of four locked together and at the line Rader had a wheel length on him and won.

DD pulled to the line afterward thinking he had the win. Im not sure he even knew anyone was gaining on him and that nobody could have gotten through traffic any better than he did as after the restart he almost had a half a track lead. Well Radar had found a few more open spots and at key times to make big gains on DD.

Rader came to the line was announced the winner and DD congratulated him.. I yelled to Susan and Deb from the stands and got blew kisses (Almost as good as a hug)

I think DD could probably have ran harder but I honestly don't think he thought anyone was coming and the main thing was to bring the car home in one piece. Which he did.

This tracks a little tricky and it has a major pinch point. cars coming off the bottom often meet the car on top at the flag stand. It makes traffic extremely difficult to get through and DD went to the bottom and tried to pick em one at a time. Well Rader was getting two or three lappers per corner up top and getting out if someone was at the pinch point only to get back in it and start chasing again. .

Kinda wish the track would cut out about ten feet of the bottom of the front straight and add about two or three degrees of banking to turn four and the front straight.

Great night. Only thing that bothered me a little bit was very little talk about Jack Hewitt at the Jack Hewitt classic.

Great to see the Mudpackers, The Goodnights, Denny, John, Mr. Gibson Danny K. Aaron and Elizabeth Fry and many others. Got home a little before one after leaving after the sprint A at 1030 but I had two stops also. So not bad. Hit the bed and lights out.

Who? at least in this case it wasn't pure luck. First he had to qualify well against his heat. Second he had to finish top two in the heat to be eligible for he redraw. Third, He got pill one out of ten.

Drew Rader fell back to 4th before he charged through traffic to erase a straightaway lead held by DD. Kyle Simon 13th to 3rd, Dustin Ingle 16th to 6th, and Shane Cottle went from the back (23rd) after a shunt to 13th. One of the best feature races of the year anywhere for those who can multi-task with battles getting through traffic and throughout the field for position. Well done, BOSS and WRP!

PS. Class act DD. Stunned and disappointed, but congratulated Drew Rader on his victory.

Seen a video of it and I didn't know DD had gotten into Hewitt about two laps from the end. Just a nerf to nerf thing but it did give extra opportunity for Rader to close the gap.

Yes Chuck I thought when that happened that Rader would fly by on the outside but Darland gathered 'er back up.

Like what Darland said about Rader " don't know that kids name but he did a hell of a job".
