BOSS Gears Up For Jack Hewitt Classic at WRP

The best points battle in the history of the Rick's Trucks & Equipment BOSS tour is growing ever more intense. The battle is heating up just in time for the Jack Hewitt Classic at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio. This is the first time ever that the Classic, named in honor of one of sprint car racing's greatest ever, will be a fully sanctioned, point paying BOSS event.

Points leader Justin Owen encountered some mechanical failure at Lawrenceburg in the last event that led to heavy contact with the wall. Dustin Smith, the early season points leader, was able to close back up and sits tied with Owen for the lead right now. However, Michael Fischesser is a rapidly closing 3rd place and who fared the best in both events over the past weekend.

You also can't count out the rest of the top BOSS runners who still have an outside shot at the championship. Rounding out the top 5 are Chad Wilson and Steve Little. The rest of the top 10 is a dogfight for position with Paul Dues, Aaron Middaugh, Cody Gardner, Mike Miller and Matt Cooley battling hard every race!

The Waynesfield regulars will be locked and loaded to defend the home turf again. We expect names like Matt Westfall, Luke Hall, Dallas Hewitt, Dustin Ingle and many more. With $3,000 to win on the line, could it be an outsider who comes in to steal the money? Join us for a great night of action this Saturday night!

General admission gates will open at 5 with hot laps at 6 and racing at 7 pm. Adult general admission is $18 with kids ages 11-15 just $9 and kids 10 and under are free. For teams competing, pit gates will open at 4. Pit passes are $30. Transponder rental will be $10. Fuel is available at the track and NO MUFFLERS are required for this race. We will be qualifying against your heat race groups during hot laps.
