The only time champ cars had anything like a local deal was in the 70's in Oklahoma and Texas. Eventually it became so localized that it withered. So being local isn't the answer either.
Spridge, I realize your still wet behind the ears, because I remember when we ran 50 shows a year with a sprint car, but you wouldn't know about that, you weren't born yet.
Ever since Woo came a long , USAC has always been a step behind.Unfortunate but true. Weaker purses, less national attention, to name a couple. I realize Nascrap likes the USAC guys, and certain ones at that. As for the rest of the guys, outside of this area, who knows them?
The guys on 16th street need to get out some. Those dumps as you call them are bait to draw in fans. Run Danville Friday, Springfield Saturday. Get those people to come to Springfield. I remember Little Springfield doing the same thing.
If you are going to weed out "dumps", why is Kamp on the sprintweek schedule? I know of no bigger dump.
I realize you can't make everyone happy, but you need to enlarge your fan base. Going to the same track every year brings in the same people.Throw a dump in the mix, show your product to some fresh faces. They call it promotion, seems as if no one remembers what that is.
