I gave myself a special pass on this one. Regardless who it is, I can't believe people would defend a race car driver choosing to race without health insurance.

If someone who was there on the night could tell us... I heard that there were no ambulance, paramedics, or EMT crews at the track at the time of Tim's accident. Did they have to wait for the fire department to be dispatched to transport Tim?

Hey Steve, we all get your point of view by now, you have repeated it enough. Hopefully Tim will recover, and if you are around when they pass the helmet, it is your right to not put a donation in. But don't keep beating Tim up for the choice he made regardless whether you agree with it or not. Hopefully everything works out and it wont cost you a dime. Get well soon Tim.

wow! if that is true, this guy should be able to get a huge lawsuit settlement from the outfit that runs this cartoon show...... So, last year, they let some clown on the track with no proper fire suit, and now, they let this guy on the track without "proof of insurance" and, if what your asking is true, no emergency medical facilities or people..... ??????? This, truely, is a wild west show, isn't it??

For what it's worth, Davey's issue was getting clearance from his insurance company to return to racing. Without it, they were going to revoke his policy and I believe stop paying his medical bills.

Because if they let Olson out there in a open face helmet and T-shirt last year, how stringent are the rules and the enforcement of them?

Discuss.
Pictures would suggest McCreadie was not wearing a HANS but HANS Devices work towards prevent neck injuries, not spinal injuries.

1. I didn't say that the HANS prevents spinal injuries, did I? 2. I just asked if he was wearing one. 3. I think I'm correct about this - the spinal column starts in the neck and ends with the tail bone. So by your own definition, the HANS does protect the spine - the part that is in the neck region. I still think that a proper fitting seat and well placed and secured belts goes along way to prevent back injuries.

I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Try to comprehend what I posted. Did I say I had experience with it?

And your illustrious career? You wouldn't even have a chance to do it if it wasn't for grandstanders like me. I guess your career is/was so good that you can't divulge your real name? Or maybe you're just a no name?

Again, have a good evening friend.
