I can't disagree, but I know he rekindled my interest when I was burnt out on the sport, and I have become fascinated by his driving style. I was always a big Hayhurst fan until the wing cars died off around here, I did'nt take to the non wing cars all that well until I noticed Clayton. JMHO, thats all folks, I definatelyl don't mean any disrespect to any other drivers, I'm just a Clayton fan.

....and Glad Brad, are you sure you don't have Daron Clayton mixed up with the "wunderkind" from Bartlett, TN?
I mean Daron spends his fair share of time on his head, we all know that. But unlike your boy "Bulldog" (quite possibly the most "un-respecting" driver I've ever seen), Clayton very seldom takes anyone with him. |

I am 46 years old and and started going to the races when I was 8, so I have seen quite a few great drivers. However after seeing Daron for the first time I can say that there is something different, electric, exciting or what ever word you use when something stands out. When Daron is "on", there is no more exciting driver out there to watch. Period. Granted he may only be "on" for a heat or maybe the whole night, but its just different the way he drives it in there. I met his mom at Kamp last year(07) at sprint week and I can say that the family had risked everything for Daron to race last year. He had a good sprint week last year and ended up with Walker for a few races and then I beleive he went to the 10 car. He just wasn't the same driver in the 10, whether it was the car,set-up, or Daron trying to learn how to race on a team other than the families car. It just wasn't the same. At TRI-STATE in the 4x he looked to be back. However until he see's that when he's on he can take it down a notch or 5 and still have -em covered he will probably struggle. But it will be awesome once he matures and learns how to take care of the car and beat-em by a little , instead of trying to lap the field. GO DARON. Just my opinion and not the views of the staff and management. DON
