My choice would be Gas City. I would say also 16th Street Speedway but there a partially completed hotel project which the city (Speedway) just took back yesterday by eminent domain. Plans to finish the hotel and the remainder of the land either a green space or dog park. You can only dream!

South Bend-Midgets since it was built for that. Kenyon series weekly with something like Ed Adair ran with AAMS. Probably also have to have some door slammers in there. I've also thought that it would be a great place to build the 350 supers up around there since there's a good history of supermodifieds there. I always thought the mini-stocks were great there but that was back in the day when there was a little variety with corvairs, Vdubs and vegas. TQs/Mini-sprints would be a blast I'd think.
Baer Field-Loved that place and would be cool to have sprints, AAMS style midgets, visits by BB and 350 supers on the 1/2, then Kenyon Midgets on small track. A solid late model class belongs there too along with regular visits by the super outlaw lates. Avilla-Lots of fond memories there especially when it was pavement. Somewhat regular visits by sprinters, midgets and supers but weekly late models. Gas City-Regular weekly 410s and 305 sprints on a Friday night. Illiana-Seems like to much great history to have been lost. Weekly late models and semi regular sprints, midgets and supers. Jungle Park! Loved that reply. The Fairgrounds. No more need said. Of them all, I'd really like to see tracks have a nice entry level class and no more than three divisions weekly.

My answer is NONE OF THEM except INDY MILE.
The racers have spread themselves out so thin in numerous classes that there's not enough to support tracks as a mainline for the ones we have now

I wish there were enough race teams and fans to support the reopening of all those tracks. Unfortunately, those days are many years behind us. |
