So TE is listing a B main in their schedule? Hmmm Are they actually expecting a good car count or just trying to get me excited about Saturday? 😂

I’m ashamed to admit I have never been to Springfield. Mostly because of work. I most likely have Saturday off, but I won’t be in attendance and I just realized why it’s never drawn me in. I want nothing to do with the fair. Haven’t been to our local fair in over a decade, and I’m not driving 3 hours to go to another, even if it has one of my favorite things on center stage. Call me a curmudgeon if you will but that’s how I feel. Thanks to those of you who go and don’t feel like I do

Just go in the infield. You won't have to deal with anything fair-related.

My suggestion would be to watch qualifying and the B from the infield, then go to the stands for the feature.

The first time I was there watched the start and the first few laps from the infield pit stands, then crossed over. The start was pretty impressive from that close.

if they have this many, they need to move the entire schedule here. Races have not been worth watching anything more than the highlights lately.

I was planning on going but with a heat index close to 110 it might be a flo racing day

Which I hate because I love supporting the race in person but I've been sick from the heat before. Not a fun time

FWIW the layout at Springfield allows one to park fairly close to the grandstands & not have to deal with much of the fair if you don't want to. You do have to pay a few dollars to get into the fairgrounds tho.
