Apparently you never saw a late model race with Bloomquist (RIP) at the Big E. He had lots of fans but man he would get booed like crazy at driver intros. The only guy that got a reaction from everyone. Of course he ate it up & I think it partially fueled his greatness.

Really glad all the injured drivers are going to be ok given some recovery time. The weekend had an old school feel to it (from watching online).
Eldora used to strike fear in the fans & a fair # of the drivers. Guys should be a bit intimidated by the joint. The track was a lot better (drier) on Saturday & the turn 1 hump was not as bad. Maybe some of these younger guys will remember this past weekend & get away from some of the slide or die mentality in how they race. Of course crashes are gonna happen but so many of these guys drive like there are zero consequences to just taking guys out (especially the ones that grow up on midget racing). It's so much safer but things can still go really wrong. Not to mention the cars are more expensive than ever when you do junk one. |

Nearly everyone seems to have that mentality when the big money is on the line at races like the Kings Royal or Knoxville.
