I don't know if anything Spiker did was right or wrong. But I do know I don't trust Allison at all and USAC should warry of working with him. I thought the banned Allison at one point for incidents with Staab and Coons.
Falling apart? Not according to the terms of the lease, if you read it. According to the lease the premises were up to code. And, any improvments Spiker made become part of the real property which is owned by Allison.

Look I've never been a fan of Allison and would agree with your feelings about him. However the terms of the lease are pretty clear and according to the allegations, Spiker is in arrears $110 thousand and change. Spiker signed and then renegotiated the lease agreement, which in some ways favored the landlord, as it usually does.

It is troubling that some of the equipment is at an auction house, and no one has an explanation for that. Ownership ought to be pretty clear, either it is Joe's or it isn't.

Whatever the result here it is a damn shame LPS has this cloud over it.

All I said is it was falling apart under Allison. Pissers hanging off the walls. a grader that couldn't grade. gutters hanging off concessions etc.

Whatever happened is between them. And I wonder if, Knowing what if any improvements, upkeep etc will happen with go to Allison in the long run, Anyone will be able to run it.

Its actually the only track I figured had a solid base of cars fans and a future.

About the 2nd year that Spiker took over LPS he stopped over to our camper after one of the USAC races. I ask him when he had purchased the track and he said he didn't buy it but was leasing it. I ask who is paying for all the improvements. He said he was but he had a agreement that any improvement to the track would be discounted from the agreed price of the track if he would purchased it. Maybe he wasn't making his lease payments since he felt the improvements was payment enough.

I've been going to LPS since before Spiker took it over. The place has gotten better every year. He has constantly improved it and I am grateful for all those improvements.
I hate to see what is going on and I, nor anyone, know all the facts. I just know what I have seen with my own eyes. THE PLACE IMPROVED DURING HIS TENURE. AND FOR THAT I SAY YOU THANK YOU JOE SPIKER.
