So far this year has been tough on a lot of tracks with early season cold weather and now all the rain. Lincoln Speedway here in PA has not raced since the 21st of April and they already lost this weeks WoO show plus this weekend. That's the whole month of May lost to rain!

When the weather clears, and it will it's going to be vital that we get out to these track and support them as much as we can. Take someone new with you who's never been to the races before. Add a race or two to your schedule if you can.

I'm taking a co-worker to a dirt track for his first sprint car race in a couple weeks, hopefully he'll get the bug and want to see more.

Just an update since I wrote this, Lincoln Speedway still has not been able to run a complete race program. I went two weeks ago and it rained during hot laps, last weekend they got in three heat races before the rain set in. And just to keep the record going we've got an 80% chance of rain this Saturday too. This has been the worst year for rain outs that I can ever remember.
