All we need to lower gas prices is a President with a pair of b***s. We sell grain at $7 per bushel to the same countries that sell us oil at $136 per barrell. Raise the price of grain to $136 per bushel and see how fast the gas prices come down.

For what its worth the racing is spectacular! Both divisions are putting on a show! Something has happened that adds a twist to the feature.... Maybe john can get a text on what that is when they announce it.

with all the flooding in the midwest i wouldnt be suprised with grain prices that high! and who will suffer...........us.............plain and simple.........look at the prices at the food store! everyone eats grain! its at the bottom of the food chain.........the price will work its way up the chain till we are eating rats, cats and dogs like those of the other third world nations.........

You may be right Joe, but I am more concerned it will be over for the performers rather than the audience. Of course, when we start seeing only 10 or so well heeled teams show up, we'll probably stop going. How much more does it cost us to roundtrip to Haubstadt now than it did last year? $10 or $15? When that stops me from going, I will have quit everything else. It sure won't make me stay at home and read about it on my computer when I could be there. I would be there tonight if not for my wife's HS class reunion. I don't think the track is going to make any money on this deal if that's their motive. They'll probably lose some in goodwill. BTW, thanks for the updates!!! |

John thanks for the updates!
Maybe you could start a new thread titled political views and do the updates there... |
