Solution: If true car owner needs to pay his bills. Once paid driver should take a portion of that $ and go to company who made the trophy and gave a duplicate made for car owner. Am I missing something ir would that be too simple and fair to everyone?
Back in the day I work for a team that Jimmy Sills drove for. And he took the original trophy's. And would order two like the one he won. He would give one two the owner and the other to my self the crew chief. Always thought that was a class act. Other drivers usually would give it to the owner, for the opportunity, to drive.
