Thanks Frank. Love it when someone takes the initiative to do this.

Two quick points about last nights track. It was NOT smooth. Very rough. Not a huge problem and to be expected with the weather. As for how slick it was, not nearly as slick as it usually is. In the feature part of the problem in 3 and 4 was people dropping down though a mud puddle on the bottom and splashing water on the track. Made for a very tough time trying to get through. There was actually quite a bit of grip in 1 and 2 even at the end of the feature. I was pulling wheel stands out of two the last 10 laps. Over all could have been better but overall could have been worse. Tough getting around the top because it was so hard and ledgie(?).
I am just glad to have somewhere to race sprinters every week and hopefully we get more and more cars. I say good job Morgan County for getting us in last night when every one else cancelled.:applaud:

I'd agree with that sentiment. I enjoy finally having a weekly non-wing sprint track less than 100 miles from home. (Not to even mention that they also run Late Models weekly, essentially giving them two headliner classes.:thumb

Now hopefully they can get a handle on the track as the season goes on.

The driver of the #9 was Jay Landolt, not Landoff, in his first non-wing drive. Sorry for the error and thanks for the correct information.

You are correct on the driver of the 9 car.....that was Jay Landolt from Wood River,IL in his non-wang debut. We were in the ticket line for the heat race aerobatics, but the A-Main tumble sure appeared to be aided by significant contact from a red car....

more often than not, tossing water an an aready slick track just makes it even slicker. Lots of times though a dry slick track will have a top side to work with. Sounds like it wasn't the case at Jacksonville last night.

You better take care of me, Lord. If you don't you're gonna have me on your hands.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help out...

The 7x that Joey drove is the GRP Chassis car that Mitch Wissmiller, not Kyle drove last year that belongs to Jim Mahan.
