Driven past Kelly's Pub recently and seen no activity. Kelly's, on 10th street in Speedway, is a top racer themed pub and home of the 'Racin with DO' show. Anybody know if this place is closed up????

Kelly's was shut down Tuesday night by the police who came in and locked it down. Chained doors shut. I heard from some x workers that theres 18 charges against them. I went by yesterday and a notice on the front door said to contact land owner for info about leasing building. I hade heard rumors before I left there last April that they had money trouble as his dad had taken it over. The crowd had changed and it became a regular stop on weekends for the police for all the fights and stuff going on.

It's sad to see it closed adfter doing 20 years of shows there on Mondays. It was the best Racers Pub when John Sears owned it. Lots of great racers could be found in there. But sadly it has gone down hill since the last owner took it over. It became a knive and gun club in the last few years as well as a thug hang out.

We had lots of great nights there in it's day, but everything changes.

I ate there on Friday night after the PRI Show. The service was great. Of, course it was just me, the waitress, the bartender & the cook there. Last couple of times I'd been in there the crowd was so thin I figured they were on borrowed time.

Union Jack's is just a shadow of it's former self, too.

Sad to see.
