The move to make sure the USAC show got in was probably for the spectators, not the racers. Obviously somebody is going to lose out but right now short track racing needs to build their fan base back up. I think they did right by the vast majority of fans. If the non-headlining class cannot understand this then that is unfortunate but so far I do not see many complaints.

The tendency for most is to be more vocal when there is a complaint to be made so I would venture to guess that 95%+ were happy(or at least not p!ssed off) about last night's decision.

Just as a side note-With any argument you are far more effective and credible when you can make your point without mudslinging or insulting.

Are you f***ing kidding me? Who says something like this? Yet again, King Dean Mills the First bellows his BS for all the message board to hear, caring very little if he offends those he deems inferior to himself.

You know what? I'm tired of it. I've posted about Dean Mills before, and I will continue to do so until he or I am banished from this board, or I get pissed off enough that I confront him personally. His comments, though mostly accurate, are routinely out of line and nearly always haughty.

It's a tired act, as I've said before. People don't come here to be insulted, Mills. Maybe that's how it's done on the West coast, but not here. It's clear from the grammar, vocabularly and structure of your posts that you are a fairly intelligent guy; why don't you put some of that intelligence to good use and try not to offend, put off, or flat out piss off, the people who frequent this board?

it should be understood that modifieds are not stock cars...Dean Mills

I'm going to disagree, Dean! Simply trimming the sheet metal back to expose the front wheels is not enough in my book to reclassify it as anything other than a stock car. Now, If you don't care for stock cars, that's bad, because it's still a stock car. If you like stock cars, that's good, because it's still a stock car! Right????:thumb

Be careful what you wish for....our open wheel guys can string out a race better than anybody at times, it's just the nature of the beast when you race with the wheels uncovered.

To be lined up and getting focused to race and then at the last minute being told that you were 'on hold' is disRESPECTful to a driver. The sprints weren't even lined up! If the modifieds had been able to qualify maybe there would not have been as many cautions. Thank you the the tracks who realize this. These modified drivers put as much time and money in their cars as the next driver. And we do have exciting races! Everyone is faithful to their own class as well it should be--But can't we all just get along and not put down each other?! Racing is racing!

And DM, this guy has been going to races for most of his life, watching his uncle race late models (almost 20 years and a track champion) and his great-uncle racing sprints. So the remarks about following his brother (who has 3 championships) and not a short track follower is untrue. And he doesn't just "follow" his brother, they are a TEAM.
OMG how bad would that suck if the mod drivers got to qualify. And also do you really want to say that the mods really put as much money in there care as sprints? :O: And wow did you look up in the stands after that damned sprint feature there were like 30 people waiting to watch those POS run. Also Dfish man up and say it to his face you big vag!!!!

With regard to your first comment above, having me "banished" from the board is silly in it's notion, because I haven't said anything imflammatory at all. I haven't used questionable vocabulary, I haven't ouright called any one person a derogatory name, I have merely pointed out the flaw in one's thinking. Once again I must apologize for using intelligent discourse, logic and reason in my discussions here. I am sorry you feel threatened by that, but it's merely how I converse online. It's not an act, it's not an attempt to make myself seem superior, it is simply how I write. Remember, I am a "fairly intelligent" guy, as you point out. The literary word is a strong suit of mine. That you are so inclined to want to have me removed from your sight is telling to me. I don't know about you, but I don't make it a habit of running away from facts or opinions that I don't necessarily agree with because they are in opposition to mine. No, I am far more secure in my beliefs than that.

As far as your assertion that you would like to confront me, feel free to. I will gladly oblige you. I can be easily spotted at any race track. By all means, come right on up and say hello and we will have a nice conversation about whatever is on your mind. I think if you actually took the time to meet me, you'd find a completely different person than the one you presume me to be, and you'd discover that there is a reason that I am, as you say "mostly accurate" in my opinions. It's called conviction.

The bottom line is, I am just a race fan who chose capturing images of the sport with a video camera as a means to make a living. I excel at it, and that is why I am where I am. That's why I've been around 25 years. Regardless of sanction, I will be around for a long time to come, because it is what I have devoted my life to, and there is a lot for me left to accomplish. You may not like what I have to say at times because it can often hit too close to home, but nobody on this planet can ever question my desire or passion for this sport. That is really all that need be understood.

Anyone wishing to contact me with an issue can reach me easily. My contact numbers and email are all on my website at www.millsvideoproductions.com. Thank you. Sincerely,

Dean Mills
