Sun is out and its near 90 degrees at the Monster Half Mile. Pit gates just opened and 14 sprint cars are already in the pit area with more in line at the gate.

Cars on hand so far: Fischesser, Cruea, Spithaler, Jeffries, Middaugh, J.Beaber, T.Beaber, A.Miller, Andre Layfield, and Dustin Smith will be piloting the #91 Lou Gagliardi car subbing for the injured Mark Cassella.

Nice car count for an area where you don't get many local cars. BOSS is doing a nice job.

Layfield and Spithaler really threw down in a battle at the point in heat #3!!

Brent I'm pretty sure this is the lowest car count they've had since they started the series last year. I was at PPMS last September for the BOSS show and I think they had 34 cars.

Many of the guys that support BOSS are off running Ohio Speed Week. Once that speed week deal is over the rest of the BOSS races should have great car counts again.

We're really looking forward to the BOSS Lernerville / Sharon weekend two weeks from now. That should be epic!

The BOSS series seems to be on the right track to success. We are going to support their shows as much as we can. We hope you and other fans do so as well.

Layfield appeared quickest in heats and is defending race winner and he drew the worst redraw pill - the #9.

3 Cautions - about 12 lead changes - GREAT RACE

Andre Layfield was to 2nd on lap 19 with a chance to win and got in the wall. Beaber also hit the wall hard with 5 to go!
