i think you have to do some of both, i like the non wing once in a while but its pretty awesome full throttle lifting around the entire track with the wings on !

I like the wings myself at my age and inexperience {us fossils break easily} that's what i'll stick with but I can understand people liking non-wing racing especially if you can't afford a midget. Now if I can just get the darn thing done so I can go racing!!!

Sounds to me that most people like a little bit of both which is what it should be! No matter how you look at it someone will always complain so do what the majority wants and everyone go be competitive but always remember none of us in mini sprint racing will make this our career and if you do let me know how !!!)

Winged,, We are not midget stop trying to make us out to be midgets. IMO. How was car count at Bloomington? I know I would have came out if it would have been winged. Seems like in years past Bloomington would have had 30-35 lighting sprints on this night.

Car count and for that matter fan count are directly related to the economy and how much of our gas money we can waste on going to a race or working on our race cars.

Andy said 21 cars at Bloomington for these times that is a good number. Racephoto1 has some great 1000cc midget photo's posted, and it looks like we are getting some pretty good air time without the wings!!

I have always called our wing the $300.00 dollar crush proof box. (not adjusted for non-inflation) I still think someone could construct an aero box to fit on top of the roll cage that would absorb that first violent contact with the track surface and control that bounce found in the 4130 steel frame.

It isn't our wings but our sideboards that make us fast. Maybe requiring a smaller or no side board could be what we need.

constant change in this division is whats killing it across the country everyones kind of just sort of getting on board with trying to push stock 1000cc motors and a somewhat standardized rule system, so more people will get involved, travel to race, more tracks will want us there, get the division some exposure etc... then its people want change.....when you buy an IMCA you buy an IMCA no ones trying to alter them , change what IMCA's are becoming etc, when you buy a sprint car you buy a sprint car so i think they should keep the wings on but , have special non wing events, or a double header non wing and winged same night i think people enjoy something different but when it becomes the norm people lose interest ... but when you run soley non wing you really only get a certain crowd
