He's a little perspective on this: It's the first time that a native Hoosier has won the pole since 1957 when Pat O'Connor won the pole.

This is the first open wheel grad to sit on the pole since Stewart inherited the pole in 1996. Fast Eddie is just following in the footsteps of Foyt, Mario. Unsers Al, Bobby,Al Jr,Rutherford and Sneva. Such good company.
