Hey Greg,

Neither Tanner nor I have anything lined up for Silver Crown rides yet this season. We would both love to continue to be a part of this series, and are interested in any opportunities available.

Thanks,

Kody

Hope you guys find something! There's so many cars just laying around and you and your brother both deserve a seat. Good luck Kody!

The tradition of the series is what we love about the series, and with all the thing that has been tried and pretty much has failed. Hopefully the series can start on the road to getting back some of the owners who have walked away.

I understand that alot of drivers love to walk into a totally free ride and owners love drivers to bring something along but maybe if a few owners and drivers had a way of communicating with each other, possible deals could be reached, we need an eharmony for owners and drivers. This is not meant to start madness that the chili bowl rentals bring but tires, fuel and small commitments might be the things that drivers can bring , who knows

Your post makes perfect sense, and in a perfect world this would be happening. However, if I am a young driver and need to bring money to the table is the silver crown series the venue that I am going to pick?

It would seem that you would get much more exposure doing this in a sprint car or a midget.

It isnt necessarily a rookies series or fit for the inexperienced youth as usac has ways to curb that but I wouldn't go so far to say its not the best form of exposure out there for up and comers. Consider the fact that there are way fewer cars to compete with to set yourself out from the pack, the full support of the top national level drivers, owners and sponsors, the history of the series and the drivers it has propelled as well as one of the few remaining series to get the great car control that dirt drivers bear,as well as the experience of getting laps on pavement that is a must at some point in any up and comers career . Put those together and I say you have one of the better series in America. I will add the future of this series I believe will get a shot in the arm from Kyle Larson the same way open wheel racing as a whole did with Jeff Gordon . Hopefully Kyle and another not to shabby racer named BC can help as well, after all if im not mistaken,he did make a start in the 2012 Indy 500!! Id say thats something to promote as a series!

USAC smart? Talk about a oxymoron.

It's gonna take a lot from Usac, owners, spectators, drivers, and even Track Enterprises to get fans back in the stands. I live in central Illinois and listen to the radio regularly and watch tv quite a bit, but every year i hear adds for the Arca series but never anything for the crown series. Part of this is due to the poor car count, change to ethanol, and changing rules that should just be left alone.

This is where things have to change. People need to tell others about the races, maybe an add on the radio or tv should be ran so people who have never heard of these cars can see what they're missing out on, and we need a car count better than 15-18 cars. In 1996 there was over 60 cars at Duquoin and now there is less than 25. That is just plain sad.

I for one know of at least 2 cars that are perfect cars to go racing with and they can be bought very reasonable. We have 2 cars for this season and will be competing with at least 1 at all the dirt tracks and are planning on the running the second at all the miles. I've counted 25 cars running on dirt this season and if we keep adding more it will be a very strong field yet again.

Like Shane said these are events and should be treated as just that. And as someone else posted for a series that nobody cares about there sures is alot of attention to this post! Keep it going gang!
