Where's a good place to buy a new trailer in central Indiana? Appreciate any ideas or warnings on dealers.

Jimmie, there are several "honest" trailer sales here in Central Indiana, New Castle has a good supply, usually, Elliott probably more than some, Greenwood has a good one, it was close to me, and had the trailer I wanted, so that's where I went. Personally, I wouldn't buy one with buggy springs under it, torsion axles ride lower, and smoother, the v-nosed might be your answer, I looked and looked, and googled and googled, and decided I wanted a KZ Cargo, it has a 6" rec tube chassis, not channel, they probably have been bought out by someone, those manufacturers change hands, more than a lot of people change underware, but be cautious, there is more to it than meets the eye, when I was looking, all the dealers that could get that trailer, were in a few bucks of each other on price, even if you just want a single axle, it's still a buyer know your facts deal. I think that's Cardinal in New Castle. Good Luck Jimmie! Bob!

We got ours from Tony Elliott 10 or so years ago. We had it made to our specs then saved some more money by picking it up at factory. Sometimes you can save by having it made the way you want it. These guys are racers and Im sure they could use some money. They are good people to work with and more than fair.

Tony Stewart intro'ed me to Detro Trailers just south of Crawfordsville on 231. They have acres of trailers on hand to choose from. Use google earth to view their complex to see what I mean.
Tony Elliott and the New Castle lot both have good reputations too. Good to have choices :-). Posted via Mobile Device |

Dan Detro at Detro Trailer Sales in Bainbridge, just North of Indy. He is a good guy and has sold my Dad and our friends many, many trailers throughout the years.
His number is 800-407-6477. Posted via Mobile Device |

JT, Bainbridge is the town SOUTH of Crawfordsville, not north of Indy. That is the lot I was talking about.

Have bought several from Detro, he has always supported the local sprint and midget racers and can be seen at alot of the big races, the best thing I like about Detro is that he will have about any size and shape of trailer in stock on his lot, you have never seen so many trailers in one place, literally acres and acres of trailers and they do all of the custom outfitting right there in House, no ordering from the factory and waiting.
