Bill, I can agree with this line of thinking, I'm sure the rich and famous wouldn't, but the guys that finish behind them would, 2nd, where I come from, isn't first loser, and even that sometimes would be like a win, I suppose at one time, the big money was paid to the top, maybe to draw pine knots, and a few of the money guys, but still, without the other 22-30 cars, and crews, and fans, where would that money come from? I proposed a payout for our group this season, and got laughed at, it cut a big whack out of the top, but sent everyone home with at least a C note to stuff in their blue jeans, which to me, brings in more cars, fans, and lets not forget the concession stand.
