I finally got to see the ending on youtube
---------- Post added at 09:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:09 PM ---------- I have to admit, when I saw the car go into the wall, an internal clock started clicking and about the time the yellow was supposed to be thrown, it wasn't. And I see everybodys argument, and I digress -I LIKE IT WHEN AMERICANS OF THE UNITED STATES WIN! But let's be honest, if this scenario had happened in the 1960's- Dan Wheldon would still have won, plain and simple. Before the line, one mans misfortune is anothers victory. NASCAR came up with this 'yellow, freeze the field' deal, and it has been safer ........but it kinda watered the show down for me a bit. Hildebrande isn't done. |

I've always been under the impression, tha in almost all forms of motorsports, if you bring out the caution flag you don't get your spot back...

I just find it rather funny that after watching the best 500 in MANY years, that one person gets on here and throws a tantrum, *****'s, moans and calls folks names over it.....Yes, we missed ya Dennis, have another one.

So, let me get this straight. The guy who OBVIOUSLY choked under the pressure of leading the last lap of the Indy 500 and CRASHED INTO THE WALL, you want to reward him with the win?!? Are you a Bill Buckner Red Socks fan too?!? You must think John Elway is the greatest quaterback of all time!
The series made the absolute right call. You choke, you finish 2nd. End of story. ![]() |
