I am getting ready for my spring trip to the heartland. I am leaving tomorrow to meet with some clients in Jeffersonville on Wednesday morning. After that, I am free. I sure hope that y'all have got that leak in the sky plugged because I am sure ready for some sprint car racing after all of the tin tops that I have been shooting down here this year. . . . .

Good luck, and I hope it's as enjoyable as it usually is. Grey skies and a slight drizzle at times was the norm for me this weekend.

It has been just the opposite for us this year. After a couple of "Fog Outs" in February, there have been no cancellations. No rain, either. I will have to say that Mike at Battleground has been doing a good job getting water on the track. Too bad he doesn't have a blade, though. And for the first time ever, I was too sick to make it out a couple of weeks ago; and it was an ASCS Gulf South race, too. I can't keep restating enough how ready I am for the trip. Good thing that I have some reports to get out today before I go. It will keep me busy.

I think I have a schedule on my site, but that is always subject to change. Friday, I plan to be in Bloomington. Saturday, I am leaning toward Lawrenceburg, but LPS is also a possibility. I have a feeling that weather will help me in my decision. Sunday, of course, is Kokomo. Wednesday is looking like Anderson, with Thursday at Terre Haute and Friday at the Fairgrounds. Saturday, I will be at the Little 500 (probably my favorite race of the year, just because of the insanity of the whole deal). After the 500 (or maybe the 425), I will head down to Haubstadt.

That is the plan, anyway.

Careful. One of the things (okay, the only thing) that keeps me here in Texas is an interesting and fairly lucrative day job. . . . .
