Steve maybe I dont understand but why didnt the drivers get point $ last year. If, as I understand it they didnt, why would any racers want to come there. Also if you had money to do capital improvements then why wasnt there money for a point fund that was supposedly promised. Set me straight if I am wrong.

Steve, Joe, DO...anybody got an explanation for the points fund from last year? Did it get paid? Not trying to cause trouble but I have never heard of this unless the track was broke and out of business.

I don't have an answer for that one. I wasn't at the banquet so I missed that info.

I can answer one part of your questions. The 2010 sprint car champion did NOT get paid any point fund money. That's a fact.

No point fund money was promised or paid. However, at the banquet all drivers who had 100% attendance were awarded with a free pitpass for the entire 2011 season. Not one pit pass... A pit pass to every single race during the 2011 season. The value of that free pit pass is much greater than what any point fund would pay. That same award will be given again this year.

The improvements to the track are only being done because Joe wants to improve the facility. The money for these improvements is coming out of Joe's own pocket.

I thought that the whole reason for a "track tire" Hoosier DT3 was for Hoosier to help pay for the points fund. Now for the improvements to the consession stand I find it hard to beleve that was paid for with his personal money and not company money when he doesn't own the property. Just a few thoughts I had.
