Gillett Evernham Motorsports driver Kasey Kahne faces a Jan. 8 court hearing on a misdemeanor battery charge stemming from a confrontation with a security guard Nov. 16 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Kahne is accused of pushing security guard Archibald Hutchinson after being asked to present a NASCAR credential. Kahne, wearing his driver's uniform, was trying to enter the motor home compound at the track.
Hutchinson was treated and released from the track's infield care center.
The maximum sentence for misdemeanor battery in Florida is one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Hutchinson also filed suit against Kahne on Tuesday in Florida's 11th Circuit Court in Miami for an unspecified amount, claiming Kahne caused him "severe physical injuries."

He'll get a reduced sentence with community service.......Do some photo ops with the local PD and end up as an honorary something or the other, much like Kurt Bush did a couple of years ago in Maracopa County AZ....

Seems to run from the bottom [Swindell] to the top KK. Lack of respect and money will buy his way out like Busch and Penske did.

maybe its the wrong way to think here, but if he caused severe physical injuries to the security guard by pushing him, im thinking that the security guard might need to find another job. heres a thought, maybe we can have a match between Sammy and Kasey at chili bowl:emote20:

You people are so judgemental with very little knowledge of the event(s).
You read a news article and don't have a clue what actually transpired, but have already found him guilty, fined, probationed, and/or doing community service.
Man, talk about a tough crowd.

Personally I think the Security guard should be fined, Do Comunity service and be publicly humiliated for STUPIDITY.
Like I've ever seen any fan in a drivers uniform???????

It all seems kind of fishy to me, i mean KK is not exactly built like a brick house. I guess a push is a push but i really doubt it that this security guard received severe physical injuries. :action-smiley-049:

I find it hard to believe that he could really hurt anybody. He's not what I call a body building tough guy. I agree, if you can't handle your business as a security guard, might be time to look for a new job.
Sounds like trying to cash in to me. No, I don't know the facts, but we've seen this stuff before with famous people.
