Looking for anything related to the old Mellott Speedway in west-central Indiana. Signs, programs, posters, pictures, etc. Anything would be appreciated.

I believe that the Speedway ran from the early 40's to the early 50's.

Where was this speedway located?

I grew up in Mellott in '40's & '50's. The "Race Track" as the locals referred to it was located at the NW corner of the town, just North of the Railroad Tracks. It has been leveled back into a cornfield for 50 or 60 years.
Many of the Indy drivers of that era raced midgets there. I remember several of them would come up from Indy to run there on Saturday nights in the "Month of May". Troy Ruttman would win every time he ran. He had a car setup just for that track and only ran it there. Jimmy Bryan drove it for 2 practice laps and said," Now wonder he wins all the time, that thing is just like driving a baby buggy around the track." Thanks for bringing back the memories.
