Twitter says Levi won. Congrats to them, but obviously its all secondary tonight to Shane's situation.

For those still interested in the race, Levi Jones won after a spirited battle throughout the race with Dave Darland. Darland led mech of the second half of the race, but Jones finally got by Darland on a late restart. Darland tried a slide-job pass with 3 laps to go (a little payback for the way Jones had passed him), but banged the cushion and rolled over. The early contenders were pole-sitter Stanbrough, Jones, Darland, Kaeding, Coons, and Hines. All but Jones ended up out by the end. Kaeding entered the race leading Jones in the points, but a broken shock mount put him way back in the field (he came back 7 laps down and ran most of the last 20 or so laps without a right-front shock). Seemed to be a problem with flat tires through the field.

Bud will enter the final Silver Crown event @ Toledo with a single point lead over Levi. One race for all the marbles. You couldn't script it any better than that!

Jon was running 3rd, when Levi put a slider on Darland, then Darland got into the back of Levi which made him chuck up a little and Jon got into him and spun running 3rd. Chain Reacted.

That was too bad for Jon. He had been running solidly in that top five group the whole race - probably just biding his time and saving his tire a bit. Early it looked like Kaeding and then Jones would run off with it. Then right at lap 50, Darland just TOOK OFF. He blew by Jones and extended the lead to a full straight in just a couple of laps. A series of late yellows gave Jones a couple of shots at Darland and finally Jones was able to force Darland out of his preferred low line entering T1 to make the sliding pass.

I believe that Jon fell victim to another, earlier slide job which Levi put on DD. Jon ended up having no place to go and went to the pits.
