I'll give two good reasons that Kokomo doesn't draw the car count other tracks do.
1. It is on Sunday nights. Most all Indiana racers work a 9-5, therefore it make sit hard to go to work on Mondays. I know cause I have done it.
2. Kokomo is a great facility not knocking it in any way. But with the newer track configuration you MUST have a very healthy engine to be competitive there. If you don't you will not run as well as you would on some other tracks, and your engine is going to have its tongue hanging out.

Nah just me here with the call center agents. Not too busy getting ready to go home and sweat my butt off planting some stuff where I just dug up some bushes. A home owners work never ceases. Gotta get the honey-do list pared down before the start of sprint week.

Exactly correct, Kokomo is now a one-groove horsepower track. You have to have monster horsepower to win there. I crack up at all the people on here talking about 3 and 4 wide racing but the winner is always running the top.

If he is gonna act like that then he needs to take the holy roller stuff off his car or just stay home ( and out of everybodys way)!!!!!!!!!!!
Jamie didn't mean to run into Justin, I believe he did not see the checkered and it was just one of those accidental deals. And last year Cole Whitt seemed to win every week on the bottom. Clauson won the USAC show on the bottom and nearly won last week on the bottom. And it doesn't take any more motor than Lawrenceburg or Haubstadt either.
I dont see streetglider out there every weekend busting his a** trying to compete. If you took away the drivers you named. You would be gettin about 10 to 15 cars a night. Just another wanna be who does not get it. Every guy that races has given alot to be there. So callin people out and bashing them shows how much he really knows.
I am not trying to confuse the high horsepower engine issue stated by Russ, but I would like to point out that the engines in the Edison #10 and the Elson #27 are just basic 12 headed engines. Yes, they are nice, but nothing special. Car setup and driver ability and desire are a great part of the fast formula that seem to be going unnoticed in this thread. Just my somewhat informed and humble opinion.

I know that you have not been to Kokomo on a weekly basis since you think it is a one groove track. How in the hell did Justin Grant start in the 6th row and end up 3rd? It sure wasn't because of yellow flags or attrition!! He flat out passed cars and I'm not talking about slide jobs! The bottom and middle are fast and the top is definitely fast, but there is racing throughout the pack not a follow the leader type of race.
TH Racer & RACEFAN 20- i have been involved in sprint car racing for well over 30 yrs, worked for USAC and Goodyear Racing Tire (sprint midget champ car) and ran a family owned sprint car for 9 years!!! Theres MY creditientals would you like to compare?? I know the game and live in and have supported Kokomo Speedway way back in the Bill Lipkey days. I have 6 posts here because i have plenty of other things to do than sit on computer all day! That being said i was NOT knocking Kok Speedway or the Oconners- i was making a simple observation as to the car counts(which you cant deny) and was wondering why they are low! The mid pack racing was awesome on Sunday especially Grant hangin his balls out!

Let me explain something to you. You come on here, dont use your real name and within six posts start making dumb statements about the quality of the field at Kokomo. Then you are surprised you get flamed? You may have credentials(since I dont know your name who knows if you do or not) but you have no CREDIBILITY here.
