[Cincy Mod Championship]

Devin Gilpin would claim his 4th Cincinnati Modified Championship Feature of the year at Moler Raceway Park on Friday night. Doug Adkins would come home 2nd and Shaun Scott would claim 3rd. Gilpin the U.M.P. National point leader would continue his climb towards the top ten in C.M.C. points. In 6 C.M.C. starts this year his lowest finish is a 3rd.

On Saturday Night the Mel Johnson Classic lived up to the hype as it produced 55 cars all going for the $2000 first prize money. Unfortunately the weather would interrupt it. The Mel Johnson Classic is rescheduled for Sunday August 8th. They will have hot laps, one Pure stock heat race and then 2 Sprint Features, 2 Modified features, and 2 Pure Stock Features. Admission is free.

All 3 tracks are in action with Scout night at Moler Raceway Park on Friday. The Mods run with the Indiana Midget week event at Lawrenceburg and Florence has the last chance to gear up for there biggest mod event of the year on June 26th.

Yes Gilpin Only has 6 races but only your best 15 count so he will catch up soon. I don't have the rest of the totals in front of me but Devin I beleive has 321 points and is roughly somewhere arround 15th or 16th.
